During the Summer Term we introduce Mini Water Polo to our Year 5 and 6 pupils.
Mini Water Polo is a smaller, more basic game than Water Polo itself, but still introduces the children to the basics of the full game. It is a fantastic, action-packed, team sport suitable for any number, and all ages and abilities of boys and girls.
This multi-skill activity teaches the fundamentals of aquatics, as well as of sport as a whole, in line with LTAD (Long Term Athlete Development).
Mini Polo is fun and widely adaptable and, in the early stages, focus is on the players rather than team progress.
The children learn ball passing, leg work, changing direction and goalkeeping and enjoy the games and working in teams to compete against each other.
