Time at Airthrie: 12/07/2018 (2 years ago)
Qualifications: BA (Hons) in Physical Education from the University of Brighton. PGCE in Primary Education from University of the West of England (UWE).
Specialist Subjects: PE

After completing my degree at the University of Brighton, it became clear that becoming a primary school teacher was what I wanted to do, therefore I completed my Primary PGCE at UWE. Throughout my time at university I have gained a vast range of experience from working at summer schools in England, teaching sport, and, in Austria, teaching English as a foreign language. This combination, culminating in my Primary PGCE at UWE, has allowed to me achieve my goal of becoming a primary school teacher.

My passion is Sport/PE and I have a very active teaching style, not just in PE lessons, but in the classroom as well. This is something of which I am very proud as I believe that an active learning environment is the most beneficial for pupils. I have danced since the age of 3, was a member of the dance squad at university and am a keen sports person and am convinced that having a healthy body encourages a healthy mind and I hope to engage all children in this lifestyle.

I am very excited to join Airthrie as a Class Teacher and PE Co-ordinator.
