This year's Cheltenham Racecourse 'Pretty Muddy' event was very well supported by Airthrie pupils. As a part of the 'Race for Life' the Pretty Muddy Kids Event is not like any other fundraising event - it's a muddy obstacle course that everyone under the age of 12 can enter, no matter their ability, with the only proviso that they are at least 1.2m tall. Team Airthrie set up a Cancer Research UK Giving Page and so far has raised over £2,600.00 for the charity. Should anyone wish to make a contribution to Cancer Research on behalf of the team, the link is: https://fundraise.cancerresearchuk.org/team/airthries-mud-run-team
Although Saturday was a hot, humid day the team also achieved much individual success. This included Benjamin Mellor who came 1st overall in the whole race - and for the team as a whole, it is believed that 6 of the Airthrie entrants finished in the top 20!
Everyone really enjoyed getting Pretty Muddy!
