As the period of Lent commenced on 6 March (for some a period of personal sacrifice in the six weeks leading up to Easter) we thought it might be an appropriate time to think about those families much less fortunate than ourselves. To this end we are suggesting that we, as a School, collect donations of non-perishable foods and perhaps Fairtrade items which we will donate to the local Cheltenham foodbank.
The charity have suggested contributions of long-life fruit juice, tins of meat, fruit, custard, milk puddings, vegetables (not pulses), Easter eggs and chocolate treats. We have placed a basket next to our Easter tree for you to drop-off your 'gifts'.
Raffle reminder - you may be able to spot the chocolate Easter goodies under our Easter tree (pictured). These are the two prizes for an Easter raffle to raise funds for our library - tickets are on sale in the School Office at £2 each or 3 for £5.
Please don't forget to bring your decorated eggs to School, using any media, for not only the Easter tree but also for the ISA Arts' competition.
