Huge thanks to Mr Hellerstein for bringing such delicious pastries to our Year 1 French lesson. We are very lucky to have a chocolatier and baker making these wonderful items for our children to sample.
Kouign-amann (pronounced QUEEN-ah-mahn) are made of laminated croissant dough which are generously dusted with sugar and salt before baking. These salty, buttery pastries are traditionally from the coastal region of Brittany.
They were declared 'delicious' by all who were lucky enough to taste them.
