Pastoral Care

Early Help

The purpose of early help is to prevent issues and problems, often minor at their inception, becoming serious and harmful to the child, the family and the community. When children and families need this extra support they often need it quickly. Provision of early help or support can be at all stages of a child’s school life. By acting quickly and confidentially we are usually able to assist the child in their rebuilding of self confidence and their coping mechanisms, to aid reconciliation of broken relationships, guiding pupils to make confident choices.

I am here to listen. I can help you with any concerns you may have in relation to your child's education and behaviour or personal relationships.

FIS are a useful source of information for parents & professionals. They support families, children & young people aged 0-19 years of age (25 for young people with additional needs) & professionals working with these families. They can help link parents up with other organisations that might be able to help or provide the information themselves e.g. parents could ask them about holiday clubs for your children across Gloucestershire.
