We provide a broad and creative curriculum, where Languages, Science, Computing, Performing Arts, Humanities and Sport of all kinds are a regular feature. With a strong focus on small teaching groups and one-to-one teaching, each child's strengths are rapidly identified and encouraged. As no two children are the same, flexibility and differentiation are a priority. Small group teaching encourages children to work at the speed that is best suited to themselves.
Our focus is to make sure that every child has a feeling of personal achievement and value, across all areas of the curriculum. We uphold traditional values and encourage children to be polite, helpful and considerate at all times. In return we provide all the praise, encouragement and opportunities that they need to be confident individuals and to discover all that's best within themselves.
Out-of-doors the children really enjoy our playground and garden, which includes a tree-house and pirate ship. We also have our own pets' corner with rabbits, chickens, ducks and geese so that all pupils can learn about caring for animals.
We foster an excellent relationship with our neighbouring school, The Cheltenham Ladies' College, and fully utilise their excellent sports facilities, which are just outside the Airthrie garden. These include a 25 metre swimming pool, hockey and netball courts, and two large playing fields.
