At our meeting last week we discussed earning leaf points for our Forest with kind actions in mind. Something for all of us to think about in our daily lives.
We also mentioned some rather interesting local events such as the Onion Fayre in Newent (which included an onion eating competition) and the elver eating competition at Frampton-on-Severn.
We enjoyed a game of Autumnal Charades followed by our Year 6 children holding a bag of 8 items such as an acorn, a conker and a wooden mushroom and then the rest of the children, in 4 groups, having to guess what the bag contained and to create drawings of the objects. We certainly have some very talented artists!
The Royal Three Counties Show Henson Pig Trail also got a mention. This fun pig trail round Gloucestershire has now ended and all the piggies have been sold at auction for charity.
I am very pleased to say that our Year 6 members are keeping a scrap-book of Dallington's endeavours so we will always have a lovely memento of our meetings together.
